Guide for Regrowth Kit - 250ml Mason Jar

There's something magical about seeing a little sprout pop up—especially when it comes from a simple mason jar sitting on your windowsill. Whether you're a fan of fresh green onions, easy-to-grow sprouts, or just a green corner in your kitchen, a 250ml mason jar regrowth kit is a simple, pretty, and sustainable way to add a little life to your everyday life.

Here's how to do it

What's in your kit (and what you need to have on hand)

In your kit, you will generally find:

  • 1x reusable regrowth support.
  • 1x 250ml glass Mason jar.

Also to have at home:

  • A little warm water.
  • A bright location (but not in direct, blazing sunlight).

Step 1

Insert a bulb or shoot deep into one of the four slots on the reusable regrowth support, so that it is stable and ready to re-grow.

Step 2

Add warm water to the 250 ml Mason jar. The water should reach the same level as the inside of the rectangle indicated in fluorescent green.

Only the roots should be immersed in water; the bulb must remain dry to avoid any risk of rotting.

Step 3

Insert the reusable holder into the Mason container and then tighten the screw band.

Step 4

Find the right location, near a bright window, but without direct sunlight all day (especially in summer) and at room temperature, between 18°C and 24°C. Natural light is your best ally, but avoid "cooking" your seedlings with excess heat. You can even turn your pot every 2 days to keep the plant growing straight.

Easy maintenance

  • The water should be changed every two days at most. This will allow the gelatinous glycerin in the green onion, for example, to be removed.

  • Check the water level in the Mason container and add water as needed.

  • For an extended period, it will be wise to add nutrients to the water.
